What happens at initial consultation?

You will get a detailed explanation of my services and we will discuss your pets needs, habits and schedules.  Also, any medications they may be taking.  We will devise a detailed care plan for your pets. We will take this opportunity to all get better acquainted. Consults are free of cost.

What animals do I care for?

I care for most small domestic animals; dogs, cats, fish, and birds.  We can discuss other small animals and services you may need.

Will anyone else be caring for my pets while I'm away?

No. For the comfort and well being of your pets, it is best that one person provide their care.  I am a solo pet sitter and only in emergency situations would someone else come in to care for them.  That person would be someone you have given prior, written permission for. This is discussed at the consult.

Is it all right to have you share sitting duties with our friends/family/neighbor?

I'm sorry, but liability reasons do not allow for that.

What happens if my pet becomes ill or injured?

Your pets well being is the most important thing to me. In the event of an emergency, I will take your pet to the vet of your choice. If your vet is not available, I will go to the Denver Emergency Vet on Rt. 16. I will contact you ASAP and will take the action you requested per your paperwork and verbally at the time.  Rest assured that I will stay with them until appropriate action is taken.

Other pet sitters charge extra for holidays, what is your policy?

I do not charge extra for holidays, but I do not take new clients for holidays, only established clients.  Holiday bookings require advance payment that is non refundable if canceled less than 72 hrs. prior to first visit. Holidays requiring this kind of booking are: New Years, Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th. I do not sit Halloween Eve/PM, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day or Easter.

What happens if I can't return on the date I'm scheduled to return?

I understand  that stuff happens beyond our control.  Don't worry!  I will continue to provide services until you notify me that you have returned home. I just ask that you try to inform me ASAP once your know you're running late.
